Now, we would normally prefer to completely remove Ash Trees as they are a weed species here in Australia. But this time our customer have asked us to cut this Ash Tree back to lessen the debris falling onto their garden shed.
If this is what the customer wants, this is what the customer receives š
Ash Trees are deciduous trees (like most introduced species of trees), meaning that they drop all of their foliage come Autumn time. Not only do they drop their leaves, but they drop their seeds, which are in a light pod. These seeds can move through the air, but most effectively spread by floating along waterways. Ever noticed creeks and waterways lined by Ash Trees (you will now!)?
Anyway, our customer requested a decent height reduction and limbs to be removed over their garden shed.
These photos don't show how much we took off the canopy of this Ash Tree, instead show how we made some clearance over the garden shed without compromising the look and integrity of the tree.
If you're thinking of removing a large limb or two off of one of your garden trees, the best move is to contact a qualified, insured and experienced Arborist. It may seem as simple as just cutting off the limb and that's that. But not always so. Trees grow a certain way, they're clever! They grow in a way in their space, with branches reaching in different directions to stable themselves. If you watch a large tree on a windy day, you'll notice that the branches don't all bend in the same direction at the same time; they all move back and forth independently. So if you are to remove a large limb or two, you can throw the trees natural moving technique out of whack!
An experienced Arborist is well aware of this and trained to assess a tree to ensure the tree is left as even all over as possible.
If you've got tree branches that could do with some cutting back maintenance over your house, shed or an outbuilding, be sure to hire a qualified Arborist. Here in the Adelaide Hills, many of our smaller towns do not have mains water and live off (house plumbing and drinking) the rainwater caught on the buildings on our properties. Even more of a reason to keep your roofs and gutters free of debris. While you'll always get some debris, removing trees and overhanging tree limbs will significantly help reduce the debris and keep your rainwater as clean as possible.
Don't risk damage to your buildings and surrounding gardens; use a qualified and insured Tree Removalist (Arborist) whom have the tree climbing and rigging techniques (plus all of the industry equipment) to ensure a safe and damage free job!
