A couple of years ago this Eucalypt was infested with Myrtle Rust and I cut right back and expected it to become a habitat tree. A few months later it had grown a heap of epicormic growth (1st pic) and now it is so full and dense (2nd & 3rd pics) that I'll be getting up there to thin it out!

Trees are amazing!

Trees truly are amazing. This gorgeous Eucalyptus had severe leaf curl and potential Myrtle Rust. So I cut it right back, removing all foliage. I assumed it wouldn't make it and we'd turn it into a habitat tree (I even put up a natural hollow for a birds). But about 3 months later it starred to shoot out a lot of epicormic growth (new green growth), which was so great!

A couple of years later and it is doing so well! It is very dense and green. It obviously lost its big limbs when I had to remove them, but it will grow some more. The next thing for me to do is climb back up the tree and selectively thin out/remove majority of the new branches. This is necessary. By removing these yound tree branches, the tree will put its energy into those branches at remain, ensuring they grow big and strong. There simply isn't enough room for all the branches to grow.

We're so pleased that this tree has bounced back so well. We love trees and we want to keep them. If that means being harsh and cutting it right back to nothing to give it the tree the chance to grow back a big, lush canopy, then that's what we'll do! We love CANOPIES!

We've recently seen koalas return to this tree! Now, isn't that what it's all about?!

If you have any trees that are looking somewhat unwell, well we'd love to take a look and give you a free quote, along with some friendly advice šŸ˜€
