BYE YUCCAS 👋

These big Yuccas were taking over the front yard and starting to push into the new fence! 🧱🪴

We filled up the truck and trailer to the brim 👍

Yuccas can be difficult to remove. We'd be happy to remove them for you! 🙂

Yuccas are a genus of plant (there are many different species, about 40 or 50 different types).

While Yuccas are low maintenance plants, they do however intrude on your garden space and aren't the easiest to remove.

They're also known to cause injuries to gardeners, with an increase in ear and eye injuries!

These ones were on the verge of ruining this client's lovely front fence.

There are a huge number of native plants that would grow perfectly in place of the yuccas. If you like the low of yuccas, but would prefer a kinder, more suitable native alternative, consider planting the Leafless Rock Wattle, Flax Lily or Grass Trees. There are many, many others.

Try visiting a native plant nursery where a Horticulturist can advise you on some great alternatives.

We at Canopy Man Tree Care would be happy to give advise on native alternatives! We are all for people replacing removed trees and plants with something more suitable to people's wants and what works well in that particular location. Of course, as always, we highly recommend planting natives. They're far more likely to survive, require next to no maintenance, provide food and shelter for native animals, birds and insects and they are beautiful!
